BLOOM

BLOOM

One of the sunflowers from my allotment in full bloom Summer 2024

I wrote the passage below, early in 2024 to myself. I call these personal reflections, 'musings', where I articulate my thoughts with words. What often starts as questions, can cascade into revelations and insights. I intended to publish it, but I didn't get around to it, and it stayed in my drafts. I am posting now because- why not?

Looking back, it was a very accurate observation and a lot has developed over the year.

I move into 2025 with renewed vigour and purpose and still heading towards the journey of ‘blooming’. I intend to bloom, but when the time is right! This does not mean that I will shy away from challenge or growth, I continue to do both, but nothing with force. I move ahead with intuition and tenacity, coaching myself along the way. Feeling the failures and embracing the feedback. Sighing at the disappointments and rejoicing in the victories.

I am more assured, that I can, and I will. But in God’s timing, His will, not my own.

Early 2024 musings

Sometimes we make goals and they are still goals, but ‘not yet’ goals.

They are goals for when you get your ‘it’ together!
I had these goals in 2022, but I was not ready for them.

Some work had to be done first for them to actually be achievable and come from a healthy place.

I wasn’t quite ready for the commitment that they would take and my life was too full of other things; including excuses! But as I look at my them now, 2 years later, I am ready for these goals.

The groundwork from the last 2 years is paying off, and I have soil ready to receive these seeds of abundance!

I thought my word for that year was ‘bloom’, but it wasn’t, in fact I still might not be in that season yet, but I am working towards it.
Sowing!!!!!!! How could I forget that stage? Really,  like how?

I have been out there casting the net, getting info, learning, building, sowing relationships, asking questions, etc.

This could mean that I am potentially in the seedling or plant out phase. Potentially the hardest phases of all.
Let me tell you- groundwork is not a little thing- it is essential! It is vital, it is fruitful, it is mindful, it works!
Be bold enough and patient enough to build the right foundations before you go ahead and launch into a new endeavour. Get ready, be ready, stay ready!
